Install insulation with recess lights
A couple of friends of mine had A Best Insulation insulate their attics and after receiving great feedback about this company, I decided to hire them myself. I explained to Sophie what my home needed and mentioned I had recess lights (high-hat lights). Sophie automatically explained to me that in order to have insulation installed, each light needed to shield with a special covering to prevent insulation from coming into contact with the lights. Aldo came over to inspect the insulation and lights and within a week I had a quote (insulation and lights). A few days later, the guys came to do the job and was very pleased with their professionalism. After the job was completed, Aldo’s son called me and my husband over and asked us if we wanted to inspect the attic. My husband being a fire marshall, quickly got up there and inspected the attic and made sure it matched state regulations, insulation standards and an overall good installation. Everything was great and the guys finished cleaning up after themselves. There is a noticeable difference in the cooling of our home as well as in our electric bill. We are very pleased with A-Best and will defiantly hire them again.

Cleaned out the old insulation which had been there for 31 years and was a horrible mess. Aldo Acosta also brought in THE best A/C man in town to fix the A/C and clean it out. Too, and repair everything. FANTASTIC job!!!!

We had a leak above on the roof and after having that fixed, A Best came in to clean out the insulation. The insulation was full of mold and dust. Now, it looks like a showroom model!!!! The A/C unit also needed cleaning out and Aldo brought in the BEST man in town to do that job at no extra expense to us. He also advised us to have FPL come out to do a survey of the insulation. Everything to help the client. Aldo is a man of integrity and a caring heart. He really went the extra ten miles to help us! A BEST INSULATION IS THE BEST! Aldo Acosta is a wonderful person and we HIGHLY recommend him and his company!!!! If we could, we would give him AAAAA’s. Thank you Aldo and A Best Insulation!!!

Note: A Best Insulation doesn’t provide Air Conditioning Services.

The A/C service for this customer was provided for New Tech Air Conditioning Inc. a License Corporation no longer active, Aldo Acosta was president of both New Tech Air conditioning Inc. and A Best Insulation Inc.

Sprayed fiberglass insulation into my attic for entire house (1,700 sq. ft). The roof height peaks about 4′. So it is hard to move around. The only insulation was cellulose fibers (house circa 1941).
The company did an excellent job. Florida Power and Electric (FPL) gave me a $300 credit when using The Best Insulation. This company appears as a qualified company on FPL’s registered list of recommended companies. I received a quote of $310 out-of-pocket expense plus the $300 FPL credit to put in R-30 insulation. The job took 2 trips because they found the wing of my house was not accessible from the existing access hole. Best Insulation recommended and sent a person to cut an access hole in the remaining room. I paid for two new access holes because the first hole was put in a closet, but it was too close to the roof edge to allow someone to get into the attic space. A second trip was arranged and this time the hole was cut in the opposite end of the room (Bathroom). From the two holes the entire attic area above the room was insulated. The two access holes cost $250. The company did not charge me addition money to complete the insulation of this room. I was very pleased they were honest to tell my large room was not completed. Since I recently purchased the house, I did not know how much of the attic was accessible from the one existing ceiling access hole. They workers could have told me they did the entire house and I wouldn’t have known. I really appreciate the workers honesty and hard work. They were very neat. They used a long plastic hose (250′) to blow in the insulation. The truck was parked in my driveway and they were able to pull the hose through from one end of the house to the other without problems. Very little insulation debris got into the house. I recommend them for insulation work.

The estimator was right on time and thoroughly explained what needed to be done and various options. We contracted to have the old insulation removed, the crawl space cleaned and new insulation installed. |The workers were also right on time both days. They were very courteous and professional. They were careful not to make a mess during the work and picked up all debris when leaving. Everything was done to our satisfaction. We are extremely pleased with this company that we found on Angie’s List.

Insulation removal and R-30 insulation installation.
After online research, FPL preferred list review, over the phone quotes and phone calls I was beside myself on who to go with for the removal of our old pesticide and mold saturated insulation and then reinstallation of R-30 fiberglass insulation. Thanks to Angie’s list I was able to find great reviews of A Best Insulation. I worked with Sophie to get an initial quote and then had the home inspected for a more definite quote of removal. The two gentlemen who did both jobs were very professional, arrived when planned, and finished the job in a timely and clean fashion. After the removal of insulation, I then had my AC duct work completely replaced and the company and installers were able to attest to the great job they did. Insulation was then blown back in…the spray foam was not an option due to the limited attic space and I was told that the cellulose insulation can leave a home very dusty and is quite pricey. I was able to use my FPL credit towards the R-30 insulation installation which was a definite plus. So pleased to have found them! Job well done.

A Best Insulation provided and installed a combination of R-30 batt insulation and R-30 blown-in insulation in an area of approximately 1700 sq. ft. of ceiling and crawl space.
I talked with 3 different insulation contractors about a retrofit job in my 30+ year old home. While all were helpful on the phone, A Best not only provided thoughtful answers and choices to my questions but had an estimator on premises try soon.
I worked with Aldo on my job and he is a consummate professional with an all-too-rare emphasis on building great long-term customer relationships.
They were not the cheapest bid on the job, but I felt that they would be the most professional and I was willing to pay for the professionalism and quality of advice.
My home has 3 very hard to reach areas that had little to no insulation. Based on Aldo’s review of the job, he told me about the FPL rebate program and proposed a few different solutions…without trying to sell me on any one of them. I made a choice based on careful consideration of the pros and cons. Aldo was a great resource for this.
At job time, A Best Insulation worked miracles: first, they agreed to do the job the next day after signing the proposal…I had other contractors doing demolition and Aldo talked to that crew chief and they agreed that the insulation needed to go in first. So Aldo re-worked his schedules to fit the needs of my job.
Then, his crew was great. They were clean, polite, and very efficient.
I give A Best Insulation top marks and would recommend them without hesitation.

A Best Insulation sent an energy expert to perform a home-energy audit of my home. The rep used a blower door and a duct blaster test to determine the home air infiltration and the duct air tightness.
The rep went into my attic to check the insulation and a duct system. Then he checked all my appliances and electrical equipment and my air conditioning system.
Later he gave me a Home Energy Report and together we designed an action plan to solve my high electric bills and hot spots in my house. We decided to repair the home air leakages mainly located in the ceiling, repair the duct system and upgrade the attic insulation with blown fiberglass R30.
The crew arrived on time and worked the entire day nonstop. They took all safety precaution to protct my belongings and my family.
My overall experience went Fabulous!
Aldo supervised the job start to finish. When everything was complete he brought back the testing equipment to verify the improvements in my home’s air infiltration and my duct tightness. This extra mile allowed me to confirm that the job was properly done.
It has been a little over two months now and a significate reduction in my electric bill is noticed. My home is now more comfortable and my son’s (Frankie) allergies problems were significantly reduced.
I was greatly impressed with Aldo knowledge in this field and his crew’s professionalism. I highly recommend A BEST INSULATION. It’s worth every penny.
Thanks guys!
